The Freedom To Roam Marketplace provides remote management, messaging, remote tracking and a simplified application launcher for Android devices used by people who may find the full Android experience cluttered or confusing.
FTR Marketplace was commissioned by the NHS Technology Strategy Board and has been built and managed by Looking Local.
The project aims to develop a user-centred and personalised independent living solution that is intuitive, seamless to everyday living and capable of working in the home, the community or in remote locations away from home.
1 in 8 people in the UK are carers on top of the professional and voluntary caring communities. With smartphone technology improving every day the amount of information and apps on the market to help people can be overwhelming. FTR Marketplace is focused on bringing together the best apps on the market, combined with a secure messaging system. Developed and designed with the older, non-technical person in mind.
